युरेका डोअर्सचा संगमनेरमध्ये चांगला जम बसला, त्यानंतर पुण्याच्या छोट्या ऑर्डर्स सुरु झाल्या.
एकदा पुण्यात सिद्धिविनायक डेव्हलपर्सकडे PVC दरवाजाचे सॅम्पल घेऊन जायचे होते.
त्याकाळी आजकाल असतात तसे छोटे सॅम्पल नसत त्यामुळे उत्तम सर एक मोठा PVC दरवाजा सॅम्पल घेऊन संगमनेरहुन बसने पुण्यात आले. रिक्षाने पुढे ते बिल्डरकडे गेले. मोठ्या ऑर्डर ची आशा होती आणि खूप कष्टाने ते सॅम्पल संगमनेरहून बिल्डरपर्यंत नेले होते त्यामुळे कुठेही त्या दरवाज्याला धूळ नको म्हणून सर सतत पुसत होते, जपत होते. आपलं चांगलं इम्प्रेशन पडावं म्हणून मनातल्या मनात मिटिंग मध्ये काय बोलायचं याची उजळणी करत होते.
थोड्या वेळाने बिल्डर साहेब आले. त्यांनी दरवाजा पाहिला. काहीही न बोलता उचलून पाहिला आणि यात काही दम नाही असं म्हणाले. उत्तम सरांना फारच टेन्शन आले. इतक्या दूर इतक्या कष्टाने सॅम्पल इथपर्यंत आणून काहीच उपयोग नाही झाला असा त्यांच्या मनात विचार आला.
बिल्डर साहेब बाहेर पडण्याचा तयारीत होते आणि ते अचानक मागे फिरले. त्यांनी PVC दरवाजा किती तकलादू आहे हे दाखवण्याच्या दृष्टीने दारावर जोरात किक मारली.
त्यांच्या या कृतीने उत्तम सर प्रचंड शॉक झाले. आता सॅम्पलचं काही खरं नाही असा विचार सरांच्या मनात आला. त्यांची किक दरवाज्याच्या मधील लॉक रेलवर अतिशय जोरात बसली. दरवाजा बाऊन्स बॅक केल्यासारखा थोडा मागे बेंड होऊन पुन्हा जसाच्या तसा परत दिमाखात उभा राहिला. इतका मोठा धक्का दरवाज्याच्या आतील MS पाईपच्या फ्रेम ने उत्तम प्रकारे झेलला होता. हा होता ‘रिइनफोर्समेंट इफेक्ट’… सुदैवाने दरवाज्याच्या पॅनेल्सनेही साथ दिली होती. PVC दरवाजा फार तकलादू असेल हे सिद्ध व्हावे यासाठी बिल्डर साहेबांनी घेतलेल्या सत्त्वपरीक्षेत युरेका PVC दरवाजा तावूनसुलाखून निघाला होता.
बिल्डर साहेब फार इम्प्रेस झाले आणि त्यांच्या प्रोजेक्टची पुण्याची पहिली ‘युरेका सॉलिड PVC दरवाज्यांची’ मोठी ऑर्डर मिळवण्यात उत्तम सर यशस्वी झाले…
